i'm beginning to detest music videos.

not that i had much of a liking for them previously.

as richard marx once put forth, music videos rob the listener of a personal interpretation of the song. that's why richard marx hasn't made a music video since Hazard.

i just heard britney spears' Everytime (the umpteenth time i've heard it today) on kiisfm 102.7 online. it's got a great melody...the lyrics suck major though. the first time i encountered the song was through its mtv. it was well-done but extremely disturbing. it sure puts an image to the song...and i'm not sure i want that.

i can't imagine turning on the telly one day and chancing upon an mtv of the real thing's You To Me Are Everything. geez...the horror!

and by the way, the only reason i still watch mtv asia, is because of their other programs like Made, award shows and some other productions...just not because of music videos. dang.
