GIRL

i can tell you've been crying
and you needing somebody to talk to.

i love my girl friends.

i still hang on to this friendster message one of them sent me during my down time.

we want to see each other happy.

we try to be strong for each other even when we're down in the doldrums ourselves.

my heart went out to this relatively new friend on saturday.

she's a wonderful girl who never fails to make everyone laugh with her own brand of laughter.

but somewhere under that shine, i saw a little doubt.

immediately, i had wanted to take her hand, press my cheek to hers and say "i'm here."

i remember her saying she had wanted to give me a hug at union one night, but decided against it.

same reason, i suppose.

backtracking...

we met at a class a day after i read her friendster message.

just before i left, i turned around and gave her a hug.

tears began to form as i walked out of that classroom door.

she had whispered this to me...

"we will be watching over you."

ditto girl.

ditto.

SATURDAY IN THE PARK

i think it was the 4th of july.

and this post has nothing to do with the above content whatsoever. =)

now that i've been relieved of helpful duties on the weekends at Caliente, i can spend more time on my family, scouts, social dancing and on the latest addition in my life...the boyfriend.

things just have a way of falling into place, don't they?

that is...until i have to start teaching on the weekends as well.

not that i'm complaining, because i absolutely love teaching.

i'm gonna miss hanging around with the students from the weekend classes.

so this new time's going into scouts, lion dance and taking care of me - my well-being being shaped by family and the boyfriend.

of course, the friends will not be neglected. =P

"and if the sun rises and sets with him..."

the reappearance of him sweetened the week that's passed.

yesterday was particularly romantic.

a whole afternoon together...how we're spoiling ourselves.

i can't wait to see him tomorrow. =)

so tell me....

is this love?

SWAY

i fall into an ocean
of you pull me up in time
don't let me drown
let me down
i say it's all because of you.

love you.
INDISPENSIBLE

not.

i am not.

and neither are you.

so bloody well learn that.

we are all dispensible.

HOW TO GET TO SESAME STREET

sunny day, keeping the clouds away...

we were missing ernie, cookie and big bird today.

but we still had a ball of a time under our version of the grand chapiteau.

of course, it only became the grand chapiteau when we pulled the tarp over the top of our lorry when it started to pour!

elmie and i made a new resolution today...

by chinese new year next year, the both of us would be able to form one lion for the performances.

so watch out world. =)

no more standing by the sidelines playing the cymbals.

here's a little something a friend sent me...

serene_wallpaper

he had wanted to tag along to take some pictures and experience the ride.

halfway through playing the cymbals at the bayshore, i realized i would majorly late for the gig at goodwood park if i didn't leave then.

jumped on a cab and zipped all the way to the hotel...and found the guys sitting at the corner drinking beer and wine. bah.

came back home at past seven and am now trying to get a little shut-eye but noooo...

thanks to spyderhole and ycsog for making my day. =)

lion dance at union tonight, anyone?

THE CLOSEST THING TO CRAZY

this is the closest thing to crazy i have every been
feeling twenty-two, acting seventeen
this is the nearest thing to crazy i have ever known
i was never crazy on my own and now i know
that there's a link between the two...

being close to craziness and being close to you.

i wonder if anyone remembers me singing this.

i've often linked this song to "too fancy".

he's too fancy for me, and a little crazy for loving me.

i was somewhat crazy for thinking we could work too, but i suppose love defies logic...

...and mental health.

good on you for remembering the tune to "too fancy" though. =) wow.
IT'S ALL SO QUIET

"quiet persistence would've done it."

interesting conversation, galen.
