WE ARE THE WORLD
nuthin' but love.
the waiting area outside the movie theaters was filled with such warmth that i felt absolutely safe in that environment.
strangers smiling at each other...and everyone was linked by one thing - cancer.
well, if you were there, you're either a member of the CCF, or the family of a CCF kid.
i'm the latter.
i knew so many of those people from years back...and to see the kids all grown up now, it's extremely heartwarming.
there was kiana...eugene...kok wee...
i caught up with a few of the constant volunteers (who all still thought that i was still flying).
the smiles just lit the uppermost level of bugis junction up.
an overwhelming urge to tear took over for a while...but i managed to hold it back as we continued talking, laughing, and just enjoying each others' company.
i thought that THE INCREDIBLES would've made a better choice for such an ocassion, with such a crowd. but after i disembarked THE POLAR EXPRESS, i could see why that worked.
with the right crowd, the movie would leave quite an impression. of course, if you were to go with a group of loud-mouthed friends who'd just badmouth every single turn of events, you'd get zilch outta it.
BUT the theater was filled with so much love...there was nothing else to feel.
i don't feel this way often.
but it'll be nice if i could.
