i'm feeling numb because someone said something nasty about me and even though i'd usually turn my cheek to such comments i can't do so now because it has something to do with my competency.

and i can't tolerate comments which question my competency.

yes it affects me, even if it came from someone who doesn't know me and the circumstances i worked under.

after all, i am the frontliner.

and, whatever it is, i get the brunt of it...first.
