YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL
thank you andreas, for having shared this song with me.
i remember sharing this with someone almost instantaneously, and from that day on, had this verse sung to me...
You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw you face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I'll never be with you.
james blunt had a tinge of sadness to his voice, and his music video wasn't exactly vague.
but the one time someone caught my heart with this song, was when i walked into this restaurant with waihwang.
the lone guy with his guitar was singing with such angst that it felt real.
i told waihwang that it was a fantastic song. and that the guy's a good singer.
that was the first real time the song set in.
last night...
through the jokes of horrible choices of wedding songs...(they actually played UNBREAK MY HEART at one point during the dinner!) i managed to capture the whole of my favorite "breakfast at tiffany's" song - moon river.
the moment andy williams voice came on, it seemed to rise beyond the crowd's incessant chatter.
i sat back and spaced out for a while, letting the lyrics sink in...
moon river, wider than a mile
i'm crossing you in style, someday
oh dream-maker, you heartbreaker
wherever you're going, i'm going your way
two drifters, off to see the world
there's such a lot of world to see
we're after the same rainbow's end
waiting round the bend
my huckleberry friend
moon river, and me.
the moment it ended, and i stumbled back into reality, i took out my cell, and smsed DP that i want to sing this song at his wedding.
i felt with the song.
there were many occasions i had sat by my window and stared out at the river, watching the moonbeams bounce off its surface.
and i would softly sing the song to myself.
it calmed me, but it also made me wish i had him to hold me as i was sitting there.
it's time to come back down to earth, and not have my head stuck in romantic cloud number 9.
it's time to sit at my own little corner again, and sing the song.
tengo corazon
the moment the couple walked into the room the second time, one song came into my mind.
TENGO CORAZON.
i don't know why, but it did.
i told ashley this was the song i would use.
when han lim and i went into union last night, i felt like the belle of the ball.
people i didn't know came up to tell me i looked "gorgeous".
maybe there was more than wayne who noticed that i lost some mass, but they weren't saying it.
sebastian even said "you must've stole the show at the wedding".
how easy it is to mask pain in the presence of others who are always ready with smiles, compliments, kisses and hugs.
how difficult it is to hold that heightened state of wellbeing through the evening.
estoy muy cansada, y muy triste...
pero estoy muy alegre, tambien.
porque...
...te quiero.
